E-Mojani - Management of measurement cases
About the Project
E-Mojani' application helps department officials to process the survey requests accurately and provide citizens with vital information like date of survey, time of survey, name of surveyor, value of survey fee etc. as soon as he applies. This application also helps the department officials in generating challans of measurement cases and tracks the survey fees collection. Online MIS generated through this application, helps the department officials in understanding the overall status of this project like number of survey cases catered to, number of pending cases, revenue earned etc. On an average, the application handles more than 1.75 lacs measurement requests per year. The overwhelming success of eMojni project has also been showcased in various case studies.
Vision / Goal
It is aimed that new surveys will be conducted using DGPS or Rovers and it will result in geo-referenced accurate maps that will be uploaded on a GIS platform. It will also be linked with the Record of Rights data base. Thus any citizen will be able to see on the web GIS platform, his/her land parcel with accurate location and dimensions along with the ownership details.
Benefits
After successful implementation of the version 1.0, E-Mojani 2.0 is being developed. In this version will handle the entire process of Mojani in the Survey office and upload the geo referenced map onto the GIS platform. Work of survey involves determining the boundaries of land parcels based on the ownership details and possession. The precise determination of the boundary on the ground is done through the use of survey equipment like plane table, Electronic Total Station, DGPS and GNSS based Rovers. After the measurement of the land parcel on the ground, the map is drawn on the paper with all measurement details including the location in Latitude and Longitude (or in any other projection system). Under the National project DILRMP, the cadastral maps are being digitized and they will be geo-referenced and uploaded on the base map obtained from satellite or drone.
